Urgent Care

Urgent Care services treat non-life-threatening health issues that require immediate attention, such as sprains, the flu, colds, and other common illnesses.

Emergency Care

If you are experiencing a life-threatening medical situation (including mental health emergencies), call 911 immediately or visit Wright-Patterson Air Force Base if it's your nearest hospital. Emergency care services treat life-threatening medical issues such as threats to your life, limbs, sight, or safety.

Wright-Patterson Emergency Department

The Emergency Department is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to treat potentially life-threatening emergencies. Patients are promptly seen based on the severity of their illness or injury to include loss of life, limb, or eyesight.

For Emergency Care, call 911, go to the nearest emergency room or Wright-Patterson Medical Center emergency room with 24/7 services.

Wright-Patterson Same-Day Services

Dental

Who is Eligible

Active duty members only.

Scope of Treatment

Common ailments requiring dental emergency care include:
  • Uncontrolled bleeding after dental surgery
  • Severe dental pain
  • Facial swelling
  • Extreme sensitivity to hot/cold
  • Loose dental implants or traumatically displaced or fracture teeth/jaw
  • Laceration of lip, tongue, etc.

Hours

Wright-Patterson Medical Center Dental Clinic, second floor is available Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.

Not available during down days, holidays, late reporting, training days.

Mental Health

Who is Eligible

Active duty, dependents.

Scope of Treatment

Mental health concerns. The clinic will perform a safety check but will not treat conditions such as anxiety or depression without an appointment.

Wright-Patterson Medical Center Mental Health Clinic, fourth floor is available Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Not available during down days, holidays, late reporting, training days.

Physical Therapy

Who is Eligible

Active duty only, maximum is two patients per day.

Scope of Treatment

Injuries or pain in your back, neck, arm or leg that started within the last 14 days. You may be eligible if you do NOT have any of the following:

  • Cuts, scrapes, infections, lacerations, abrasions, open wounds, rashes, or a skin condition at site of injury or pain
  • Been involved in motor vehicle accident, high velocity fall, have had a crush injury
  • Have back, neck or extremity injury/sprain/strain with symptom onset >14days
If you have any of the above, please make an appointment with your Primary Care Manager.  

For injuries or pain in your back, neck, arm or leg that started longer than 14 days ago, you can contact PT directly for direct access/self-referral at 937-257-8753 or schedule with your PCM.

Hours

Wright-Patterson Medical Center Physical Therapy Clinic, first floor is available Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.

Not available during down days, holidays, late reporting, training days.

Women’s Health

Who is Eligible

Open to all female beneficiaries ages 16 and older who are in need of birth control services.

Scope of Treatment

  • Oral contraceptives prescriptions
  • IUD counseling/insertion/removal
  • Contraceptive rings/patches/injections
  • Emergency contraceptive
  • Nexplanon insertion and removal

Hours

Wright-Patterson Medical Center Women’s Health Clinic, second floor is available Fridays from 7:45 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. Wait times may vary as this is a first come-first service clinic.

Not available during down days, holidays, late reporting, training days.
