Getting Care

My Military Health: Improving the Patient Experience

The Defense Health Agency is changing how you access care and how we deliver it, making care more focused on you as a person. You’ll soon have faster, easier, and more convenient access from your phone, tablet, or laptop to online tools and services to help meet your health care needs.

The Defense Health Agency selected Wright-Patterson Medical Center from among 45 military hospitals, setting it apart as one of the first five sites to launch My Military Health, a new suite of online tools and technologies to help you to engage in your health. You’ll have access to a range of digital care solutions, including:

  • Self-paced, private online health programs to help support your overall well-being and mental health.
  • Digital companions, so you can stay connected to your health care team between visits.
  • Ability to schedule virtual appointments, get appointment reminders, and access virtual waiting rooms.
  • Ability to search online for network primary and specialty care providers.

With My Military Health, we’ll meet you where you are – at home, at work or in your community.

How it Works

In late August, 2024, Scheduled Virtual Visits were launched at Wright-Patterson. These are video medical appointments that give patients the flexibility to meet with their health care provider from a location that’s convenient and comfortable for them.

Quick Care Connect visits, an online urgent care portal, opened in July 2025.

Scheduled Virtual Visits

This new video visit platform is safe, secure, and easy to use, making it the perfect option for anyone who wants to engage in their health care on their terms. Video visits do not replace in-person or telephone visits, they are simply another way to meet with your healthcare provider. Joining a video visit is easy by using a smartphone, tablet, or computer with a camera, speaker, and a strong internet connection.

Quick Care Connect

The newest offering from My Military Health is available exclusively for patients enrolled at the Wright-Patterson Medical Center and Martin Army Community Hospital. Patients experiencing acute issues that do not require a trip to the emergency room, can join a virtual appointment within minutes using this new platform.

My Military Health Quick Care Connect is a great option when patients need care for conditions that are not life-threatening and do not require a significant physical exam such as: seasonal allergies, urgent prescription refills, minor gastrointestinal issues, and minor dermatologic concerns.

Currently, the service is available for adult TRICARE patients, including active-duty, on Monday / Tuesday / Wednesday / Thursday between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.. Wright-Patterson pediatric patients can initiate on-demand virtual urgent care visits Monday / Wednesday / Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.

Patients request a visit via the My Military Health Quick Care Connect Welcome Page (https://support.mymilitary.health.mil/SelfService/s/article/Quick-Care-Connect) or by scanning the QR code below:

If a patient doesn’t have access to a smartphone, tablet, or computer, they can still schedule an in-person or telephone appointment by calling the 88th Medical Group appointment line at 937-522-APPT [2778]. Video visits are also scheduled through the appointment line.

The My Military Health Help Desk is available for patient and provider support and feedback. Call 844-DIAL-MMH (342-5664) or email DHAsupport.mymilitary@health.mil.
