The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue to work in normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.

During this partial government shutdown, the 88th Medical Group remains open and continues to honor scheduled medical and dental appointments. Our appointment line is open and we are still taking requests for appointments. Our operating room, primary care and specialty care clinics are fully operational. Ancillary services (pharmacy, laboratory, radiology) are also operating normally. As always, safe and high-quality health care remain our priority and we are doing our best to minimize impact on our beneficiaries and their health care during this partial government shutdown. Lab Tests & Radiology

Lab Tests & Radiology at the 88th Medical Group - Wright-Patterson Air Force Base consists of Laboratory, Laboratory / Clinical Testing Departments / Anatomic Pathology and Tumor Registry, and Radiology (Diagnostic Imaging). For more information, please visit the individual health services.

Lab Appointments

  • It is highly recommended that you schedule an appointment, walk-ins can expect a wait time of up to three hours.
  • Appointments can still be scheduled via the appt line at 937-522-2778.
  • For those patients who would like to schedule their own appointments, the WPMC Lab has moved to a new appointment system called thryv.
    • Visit go.thryv.com/site/88DTSLAB and create an account.
    • Patients will be able to schedule appts and receive text and e-mail appointment reminders.
    • Patient Instructions, such as special collection, timing, etc. will be available.
  • All written lab orders from outside providers should be faxed to the lab (process already in place) 937-257-0728.
  • Patients can drop off lab orders, but should do so a minimum of 7 business days prior to their scheduled lab appointment in thryv.
  • Lab results will be available in the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal after the appointment.

Hours:

  • Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • The medical center is closed for training exercises on Wednesday mornings until 9:30 a.m., unless otherwise noted. ER open 24/7/365.
