The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.
If you have a scheduled appointment or other business at the MTF, please verify with your provider or applicable office within the MTF to ensure there are no changes in schedule. To learn how the lapse in appropriations affects your TRICARE benefit, visit

  • The Wright-Patterson Medical Center Immunizations Clinic requires a scheduled appointment for all vaccinations.

  • Patients presenting to the Immunizations Clinic without an appointment will be offered the next available appointment.
  • The clinic will provide walk-ins for emergency exceptions such as:
    • Post-exposure Rabies

COVID-19 Vaccine

The Immunizations Clinic does not currently have the COVID vaccine in stock. (10/1/2025) CDC recommends a 2024-2025 COVID-19 vaccine for most adults ages 18 and older. Parents of children ages 6 months to 17 years should discuss the benefits of vaccination with a healthcare provider.

Concerns about the vaccine?

Speak with a Vaccine Expert. You may contact the DHA-Immunization Healthcare Support Center at 877-GET-VACC (877-438-8222) option 1, or Defense Switched Network (DSN) 761-4245, option 1, if you have questions about the vaccines or about an adverse event following vaccination.

Influenza Vaccine

The 2025-2026 flu vaccine is now available.

Flu season is upon us. We are concerned about your health and encourage everyone to get vaccinated annually against influenza. It’s critical that everyone who is able receives a flu vaccine. It’s essential that active-duty service members, active-duty family members and other beneficiaries are well-protected from influenza.

Please see the guidance below for getting the flu vaccine here at Wright-Patterson Medical Center.

Active-Duty Service Members (ADSMs)

The 2025-2026 Flu Vaccine is now available. Visit the main hospital atrium/lobby Monday-Friday, 0800-1600 (open at 0900 on Wednesdays, closed all day October 13). All active-duty service members are required to receive the flu vaccine. If you feel that a medical or religious exemption is needed, members should contact their PCM. NOTE: FluMist will not be accepted for service members readiness compliance.

When you get a flu vaccine from anywhere besides the Wright-Patterson Medical Center, active-duty service members need to bring their record in to be updated by the next duty day.
