Immunizations

Appointments

  • The Wright-Patterson Medical Center Immunizations Clinic requires a scheduled appointment for all vaccinations.
  • An appointment is required for each individual family member. (An established encounter/appointment is required for each patient for documenting the vaccinations given for that visit.)
  • Patients presenting to the Immunizations Clinic without an appointment will be offered the next available appointment.
  • The clinic will provide walk-ins for emergency exceptions such as:
    • Post-exposure Rabies
    • Short-notice deployments
  • Mass vaccinations such as the flu vaccine will follow a different process.
  • Active-duty patients in uniform and patients needing ONLY Flu and/or COVID vaccine may walk-in without an appointment until 1530 daily.
  • Patients that have a scheduled appointment with their pediatrician in the Pediatric Clinic may receive same day vaccines in the Point of Care Immunization Clinic up until 1530 daily. After 1530 the next available appointment will be needed with the Main Immunizations Clinic.

COVID-19 Vaccine

CDC recommends a 2024-2025 COVID-19 vaccine for most adults ages 18 and older. Parents of children ages 6 months to 17 years should discuss the benefits of vaccination with a healthcare provider.

Influenza Vaccine 

The 2025-2026 flu vaccine is not currently available.
Flu season is upon us. We are concerned about your health and encourage everyone to get vaccinated annually against influenza. It’s critical that everyone who is able receives a flu vaccine. It’s essential that active-duty service members, active-duty family members and other beneficiaries are well-protected from influenza.

Active-Duty Service Members (ADSMs)

The 2025-2026 Flu Vaccine is not available. 
You may contact the clinic at 937-257-3822, option 1 to check supply status of the vaccine. When you get a flu vaccine from anywhere besides the Wright-Patterson Medical Center, active duty service members need to bring their record in to be updated by the next duty day. 

All Other Beneficiaries

The 2025-2026 Flu Vaccine is not available. 
You may contact the clinic at 937-257-3822, option 1 to check supply status of the vaccine. 

Other Options for Getting the Flu Vaccine 

If you’re unable to get the flu vaccine here, you can visit any participating network pharmacy or TRICARE-authorized (civilian) provider. Visit www.tricare.mil/flu to learn more.

Allergy


We are an Allergy Extender facility and provide diagnostic evaluation and treatment for active-duty patients with seasonal allergies as well as case by case basis for other allergy evaluations. Patients are required to have an allergy referral to be seen.

Appointments

  • The Wright-Patterson Medical Center Allergy Clinic requires a scheduled appointment for all allergy shots.
  • An established encounter/appointment will be required for each patient for documenting the allergy shots given during that visit.
  • Patients presenting to the Allergy Clinic without an appointment will be offered the next available appointment.
