Clinical Health Psychology

We offer evaluation and treatment to patients presenting with concerns related to health behavior change and health issues. We provide dynamic care in a robust multidisciplinary environment engaging with other disciplines throughout the hospital. Common health concerns we address include: headaches, medically related phobias, weight management, performance enhancement, insomnia, diabetes, and chronic pain using an approach that looks at all aspects of the patient to include physical, emotional, cognitive and environmental factors. Individual treatment and interactive group formats are the primary treatment modalities. We also conduct pre-surgical psychological evaluations, such as pre-bariatric surgery and gender affirming medical evaluations. Treatment goals are time limited care behaviorally based and determined using the patient’s values as the guide.
